About Terri Layton
I'm a Portland native and have lived in many areas around the metro area. College started at P.C.C to get my A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies. At the same time, I was working for US Bancorp Mortgage and decided Mortgage Lending was more aligned with my interests than becoming a paralegal, so I stayed in the industry for 5 years doing everything from processing to closing and funding loans.
I became a licensed Oregon Real Estate broker in 2005, and in 2006 received my B.S. degree with a minor in Real Estate Development from Portland State University.
Now, I enjoy helping others find those great deals, as well as offering my expertise to those that are ready to sell. I think I've reached my level of success by approaching each home with tenacity and passion as if I were buying or selling my own. I view homes at their future investment value, not just their present.
I like to keep my clients informed every step of the way, and I never push anyone in their search for a home. It is a difficult decision, and you should wait until you walk into THE home and say "This is it!" Your home needs to fit you emotionally as well as financially.
